Hi. Architools looks very promising if I can get it to work. It is definately easy to create rooms with this tool.

Here is my problem. I want to be able to create buildings in Carrara and then export them to Poser. Unfortunately, even a simple room with a door and a window, when exported via the OBJ export to Poser does not work. The problem appears to be with the irregular polygons that are formed from cutting doors and windows into a wall face. Is there a way to correct this problem?

Thanks,
Keith

I don't know why there is a problem here, but if you could send me a screenshot of the wall with irregular polygons in Poser and its corresponding Carrara scene, I may find the origin of the problem.
Otherwise you can convert the building into a vertex model (Edit->Convert To Other Modeler) and then study the geometry into the the vertex modeler with more information on the triangles

I'm not sure how to put an image up on your forum. In any case, you can easily duplicate my problem in about 1 minute by following the steps below.

1) In Architools (inside Carrara), draw a basic rectangular room.
2) On any one of the walls add one door and one window.
3) Save as an .OBJ file (I used the default options).
4) Import into Poser as an .OBJ file. Take a look at it. You will see a number of the elongated polygons show up as holes in Poser.

Thanks,
Keith
